Dorky glasses will now become fashionable in Nepal, thanks to 3D Avatar

Starting from today, Jai Nepal Cinemas will show Avatar in 3D.

Those who are keeping count might remember that they had promised to bring the 3D stuff wayy back in December, when it was still sizzzling hit and even the Nepali-film-showing halls had house-fulls for the film. But because 3D is not like your usual point-and-watch, it took them four months to get it here. The tickets for Balcony are priced at Rs. 350, and we cannot guarantee you about the quality, but it is definitely worth a try. Don't worry on missing this one though: they are bound to have this one on for months.

Republica has a piece on how this was achieved and stuff, but instead of numbing your brain with the mediocre Republica, you might do well to start lining up outside JaiNepal.

Factoid: The 3D thingie is probably one of the cheapest anywhere. It is much expensive outside: Indian cinemas usually charge Nepali equivalent of Rs. 400 or more, and they are the next xheap ones. So even if you are in Nepal for a short time, you might do well to watch this one.

Readers who go to watch please let us know how it is. You can sign into this website with Facebook, or Gmail accounts, and start posting articles after a certain number of posts.
