Potential treasure posts alert!

I came back from Ghana in the December of 2013, and returned from my U.S bus trip in September of 2014 -- after having traveled for 2 months all by myself mostly in buses. I promised everyone I was going to do so.many.posts, much like I did with my Singapore trip back in '10, but those were just promises. They weren't just empty promises, they were oppromises -- I ended up doing what could be considered the opposite, and that's how 2014 and 2015 are the years with the lowest blog count in this blog's 12-year history.

Now that I have been uploading all those photos from my camera, taking my vitamins, and regularly writing again, it seems this might be the right time to get caught up on those posts [no real promises because I don't want to break them yet]. Perhaps I'll choose a couple of interesting events and write on them, or couple of posts per city etcetera. We've gotta figure out the exact strategy I'll attack the problem with, but there's definitely a lot of potential for content there.

Which reminds me, you know how maybe even if you don't think you're a great photographer you think your photos are ok and you don't deserve to be made fun of? Well I've talked about this here already, but most of my photos from the first two years of me getting the camera are awful. They're blurry and unfocused, and really badly framed. I can see the improvements as I spent more time with the camera, but for all I know, it could just have been that I was using a better lens -- actually that's not true, since I was using a better lens... a prime lens with large aperture, it'd likely have been harder to take photos if I hadn't improved. Yeah so in far, far hindsight, I can see that I improved as a photographer, but not sure where it would have gone if I still had the camera. Speaking of which, I looked into buying a new camera, and ooof, I could have sold the camera I got in 2011 used for more than I bought it today if I still had it today. That says a lot about the market and I'm not very happy with that. I'm considering borrowing (hehhehheh) a friend's camera and playing around with it for some time again, because I do miss all the annoying phototaking I used to do. We'll see.

If I do get the posts done, and I'm not making it up, it's going to be a treasure trove, because I'm in a much, much better place to be writing those posts. They will be a lot better than they would have been if I'd written them right then and there, albeit it's possible I'm going to get most of the details comically wrong and people are going to get all mad at me. Whatever.
