Purchase is not just a town in Western NY

It's also something you do online on amazon and aliexpress and alibaba and the rest. And you know what, maybe you've been doing a bit more of it than you should, you know, it's no good man, like did you really need that smartwatch, or the cool new technodevice from aliepress which is great and everything but do we really know you're going to get what you expect? And will it be sent by the company in decent conditions, by the way how do we figure out those devices from phoning home because we're sure as fuck the CCP wants total control of the user name account, and the data being transmitted and will take every opportunity to use that data as a leverage against you at any point in the future.

So much spending, so many unnecessary purchases, so much packaging. I don't know is this what I want in life, something considerations keep popping up. An ascetic doesn't need too many resources and physical comforts to find peace, or is an ascetic by definition somebody who's privileged and well-resourced to find themselves in a position to invest in inner peace. To put it differently, what's the relationship between asceticism and privilege, and can those who're already been done ill by the society find themselves total peace and happiness, live a simple life while not worrying about their basic existence?

Things to think about.
