It's 11.45 in the evening, I've been surprisingly disciplined and principled for a day that I thought I was going to skip all the regular checklist rules on. In reverse chronological order, here's a journal of the things I did today. Here. We. Go!
After getting home I got TD hooked on The Circle, the new netflix reality tv show that everyone's been watching, the guiltiest of all the pleasures there is. We've been watching it for the last five hours, and she just finished her sixth episode. Just this evening. She was quite skeptical for the first episode but here we are now. She's reading reviews of the show as I write these words, despite having to get up really early tomorrow. Not a surprise at all.
I met TD right as she got out of her arrival door, a pleasant surprise because I expected to spend a long time locating each other. Our plan was to go to the nearby police station to file a report for the lost wallet but at the moment we decided to give the nearby lost-and-found a shot. As detailed in one of the earlier posts, we went to the lost-and-found and found her goods! Including all the money in it! We decided to spend the money in it on a nice dinner, took the silver line to south station walked to Chinatown searched for Hot Eastern couldn't find it but finally came across 5 spices, as explained in the earlier post. It was a good dinner, a little expensive though still glad we went.
From five spices we walked to the South End near the Ink Block to figure out where TD's bus stop at Flixbus is. It's an interesting neighborhood, the bus stop is below the highway and what a strange place to have such a nice neighborhood there, what an interesting and complicated face gentrification has. After scouting the location we went to the nearby Whole foods because I wanted to check the restrooms, walked to Tufts Medical stop, took the orange line to sullivan and then the bus home. Perfect trip perfect timing everything worked out so well.
Got up late today, still trying to get caught up on the sleep but didn't really get to sleep a lot. Tried to clean the house up made my room cleaned up the old clothes etcetera and left for the airport. The trip was perfect and timed really well. At the airport I was uncertain where the arrival location was so I checked out a couple of aisles and tried figuring out a good logistical way to approach it, finally found TD just as she was exiting.
Good day, good food, good time with family. Still back on the discipline game, surprisingly because it was a low-key day and I'm not good with the checklist things on lowkey days. What an achievement maybe I am growing as a person?
