In the morning I explored my new favourite open-access, or general, hardware-related journal. It's a journal of cheap open-source hardware for scientific uses.
After work I processed two batches of milk kefir and started two new batches of water kefir, one with regular sugar, the other with powdered sugar that I needed to throw out anyway. Because I was not confident about the latter batch I put the bubbler on it, to speed up the process. Plus, raisins into both the batches to give them a headstart and extra oompf, the yeastie bois on the yeasts will help the scobies in the two batches process faster.
For lunch I had strawberries that I'd previously bought at the farmer's market and kefir.
In the evening we went to AKS(e)'s place, and it was weird because not only had he not started cooking, he showed no intention of beginning to prepare food of any kind after we went in. Instead he was busy playing chess with (y) for the first several hours(!) late friday night, making the dinner guests, uh, starving and mad. It was only when we threatened to leave did he start cooking. AR(y) did most of the cooking, she made something vegetarian too and it was good.
Before the food was made, I shook up a snack. Bhujia, kefir, onion, tomatoes, yum yum yum, so very good.
Headed out early because everybody was feeling so weird with the confusing dinner invitation and the way it was treated.
