Incredible qualifty-of-life improvements coming to this blog

If you've noticed in recent days, this blog has starting becoming slightly less minimalist. The idea is to not throw it all out, or a change of style but to organize this thing better. Because I need to start writing stories and whatever, and searching is a terrible way to look for things you wish to reference with no clue on what search keywords might have been used, or what the story thread might have been.

So what I'm doing now is tagging all the new posts (most, anyway) in a way that makes sense so it's easier for me, and you the reader to search from the archives. On the right hand side you'll see a handy list of neatly categorized posts, journals, poems and works of fiction until now, but the categories will soon expand. And then the next step is, I'm very excited for this, I'll be categorizing my individual pieces under existing story threads. So for example if you look at Jestha 19 series, which I wrote almost thirty thousand words on (yikes!) almost two years ago, you can find them on the 'fiction' category, but they'll get their own category as well. That way I'm 'stapling' random works of writing into coherent classes, to inspire me but also it's much better to figure out what the heck I was thinking when writing that. Because the context is often lost as the months and years go by, and it can be one hell of a pain in the ass to try to reverse engineer one's thoughts to take inspiration from a certain piece.

Of course at this point there's five thousand (!!!) posts on this blog so categorizing them individual is going to be...uhhh hard, if not entirely impossible, so I suspect I'll end up using some sort of automation, either using simple scripts, or some sort of text engine with sample predicted categories to assist me in this game. And then use that prediction after verification as input to the engine to make more accurate predictions so I can get to categorizing 100% of the posts really well.

Really excited about that. It's something I should have done from the beginning but it's never too late to start.

And one day maybe I'll even be able to identify what the heck I'm talking about in most of the posts and provide context to them, that'll be quite a thing, huuh?
