Millions and billions in the city for trillions

As you may well know
The city of my abode
Is the residence of Lord Bezos
And many more
For whom,
Billions and billions, as they come
Aren't really enough
They need so much more, and then some
And it shows,
The houses fantastic
With boats and forests and choppers
And the islands exquisite
Away from the beady eyes of the tourists
Accessible only to the realm
Of the continent-hoppers.

And one day, one says, as one does,
So and so is a millionaire
And comes a united reply, from the group
But one must be, to stay!,
One then works out the numbers
And there's not much else to say
Because with the googles and the microsofts and the amazons
They are all
Scrooge McDucks swimming
In the pool of investment winnings,
All of them, the Internet plumbers.

The houses go for not less
Than many millions
The hovels worth more
Than palaces in grand locations
I gawp and I stare
At the great goddamn mansions
Littered about
And the realization,
Where's the money, brah?
