They flew four massive F35 fighter jets right above my head in Seattle yesterday, and I wasn't impressed

I was walking up the hill to Trader Joe's yesterday when a thunderous roar from the skies stopped me on my tracks. The buildings started shaking. There were four fighter jets, F35's I found out later, that were doing the show for whatever baseball (?) game was happening at the Stadium downtown. I mean they didn't do tricks or nothing, just a flyby was pretty meh. I wasn't impressed and it was far too loud. There are obviously rules to fly loud military planes in civilian airspace and they make exceptions for such occasions, but can they not make those fancy planes quieter? Or is their loudness part of the charm?
