This will be kept short because of the nature of the matter, which you will soon understand.
It's quite possible this occasion might have been the closest I have come to death in my life.
It happened in the suburbs of Salt lake city during our roadtrip. We were trying to make a run straight for the town and had missed a couple of entrances and exits, my driver Aky seemed confused but functional. There was a traffic light at the intersection right on the highway, and I figured we'd stop there before moving on. But the car didn't stop, nor did it speed up, and I figured Aky would cut a close one like ARe often does, when she occupies the crosswalks. But no, he just kept on driving, as the cross traffic started hurtling towards us. AK I shouted quite calmly, we're crossing the red light, we're cutting the red light and the cars will hit us! I didn't shout, there was no shouting because to be it looked planned and thought-of. And then A got back to his senses basically and started backing to the stop sign and then freaked out. Because we had basically gone through a massive red light on the highway casually and he hadn't seen the red light.
In retrospect, the traffic wasn't particularly fast, the cross traffic didn't honk or anything and it wasn't like we were trying to sneak through traffic, so unless the cameras saw us and photographed the incident, nobody is none the wiser. And perhaps it wasn't really that much of a wild experience. But such a big deal to cut through red light on the highway.
