Oh yeah I watch lots of e-sports

With how much of my daily time is taken up by this activity, it's quite crazy I've basically never written about it on my blog here, not even in a passing throw my manner because I spend hours and hours every day doing it. And that is, watching youtube casts of top-level players playing age of empires IV.

I follow one caster Aussie Drongo, and a couple of pro players who cast their own games-De Mu and
Beasty It. It makes me understand how these people can deal with pressure, can multitask, know when to quit, but also not fall apart at defeat. For it is true for them than for anybody-only by losing can they hone their craft, figure out strategies, make winning tactics, and learn ways to deal with specific players. Only by constant engagement, practice, feedback, and training, and oh so many losses, do they get better! Is there any better maphor of life really?

In addition to having fun watching the games, obviously. I should write more on the casted A0E N games, the culture and the 'meta' play, since it's easy topic, easy to generate content. '
