It is confusing and scary to start,
The mind is skeptical, and even more so is the heart, at the new possibilities, the good bad and the awful of starting to talk to somebody anew,
getting to know them, spending time and the rest,
and wondering if you somehow fall down the hole on the deep deep everlasting well
of a lifelong mistake that cannot be undone,
not even by a fairy godmother's wave of a ward
from the fairy tale.
How do you know then, if it's the right time,
the right person and the right place,
to make the jump, to be sure the regrets are worth it,
how do you know you won't have to start preparing for the regrets before you even begin? How the hell do you understand people, knowing what's within. Good heart, good wishes, and a clear conscience,
Surely they're ingredients of a good start,
One must have faith and trust things will be fine And that one is blessed by many wishes divine.
Count on others to have thought well and done you right For they surely don't wanna mess it up, ending in a fright. Trust others, trust people, have faith
In the fact in the end things clear up straight,
Don't let the seeds of doubt sow inside you, Instead plant hope, nourish with optimism, and reap the grains!
