Yogi Sam sat down. There was too much noise, violence, pollution around for one to be at peace.. He closed his eyes, placed the implement correctly, and took a long undulating breath. In a moment he reached a land of complete and total bliss. No external disturbance could break his meditation and concentration as long as he was in the Asana. His lips curled into a slight smile his head cocked slightly towards the heavens his hands in a comfortable position in his lap. The yogi was in dhyaan, out of which he would come only by self-will.
A row of yogis and yoginis sat besides him, all in their own mental lands of peace and calmness, slight smile in all their bright faces, there eyes glossed over in contention. Across from him sat yet another row of super-medicants in a similar state of super-concentration and bliss. They had all learned to take the self out of the physical body into a spiritual land where minor physical disturbances to the physical form wouldn't so much as touch the ethereal form. They would come back when the time was right and their daily duties called them to.
The scene above is of course from the daily Red Line MBTA trains people take to work. Plug in an earphone, put on something calming and meditative, and your spiritual self transcends its physical existence. The train is noisy smelly angry with the crowds jostling about shouting around but the Yogis in the seats are at peace with the world and with themselves. They have their auras in enhanced forms despite all the physical difficulties their physical bodies are subjected to.
The annoyances in daily lives combined with the ease of basic physical existence have allowed us to transcend physical existence and live in ethereal worlds in ways only the most accomplished and advanced masters of concentration and meditation could do. Podcasts and audiobooks have played no small part in that, and for me personally, the existence of calming shows like the office which he medicant can use almost as a tool for keeping attention in check have been the greatest gifts towards relaxation and self-awareness.
