An incredible creature

How does a mouse grow to the size of a large bull even? It didn't make sense. Biology doesn't work like that, you can't just take an animal and scale it like an image and expect it to work. And yet.... This was definitely a ridiculously outsized mouse. Dr. Thapa scratched his head.

This wasn't a hoax or doctored evidence as he had originally suspected, and later begun to hope. Reliable sources had taken videos from multiple angles the creature acted in ways you'd predict from biology not from common sense so this wasn't people seeking attention at least. Still. It was pretty hard to convince yourself this was real considering everything your training had taught you would lead you to believe it wasn't physically possible.

Take the mouse's diet for example. To sustain that body it would have to consume several hundred pounds of food every day. The sheer weight of the daily diet was sufficient for a mouse's musculature to collapse, even when scaled up to the size. So clearly there was something else happening internally despite the creature's outward appearance completely resembling a lab mouse.

There had been suggestions, all from the active internet crank community, that it was a lab mouse that had been involved in some sort of nuclear accident or experiment. That sort of stuff happened only in comics. Radiation wouldn't scale up a living mouse, that shit took generations even if you got it to work out in a targeted manner. Besides, radiation would just fry a mouse in dosages large enough to cause such significant mutation in the cells. A superhero mouse this certainly was not. And just as unlikely was it to have been a regular mouse subjected to alien growth rays. Growth rays don't generally generate mass from nowhere.
