Catchup day and Ramen [Friday 20]

Writing this the next day because was too tired yesterday. The things that happened to me yesterday in reverse chronological order, here. we. go.

Went to bed at 2am because didn't feel like sleeping but didn't feel like writing either. Did the evening workout at like 1 in the morning, after a break of like two days. Need to do them better and increase the count, still not as comfortable as doing 85 as I thought I'd be, but at least I'm not sweating or panting anymore so that's a win, kind of.

Got back home at 12-ish and spent a couple of minutes with roommate BB. Roommate AL was in bed already and roommate PK is in DC for the holidays. Watched a couple of minutes of The Office before going to my room.

Walked home from Davis in the utter cold, thank god for podcasts didn't feel it too bad. Got to Davis from Harvard, the train came in just in time for me to get in, and trains were coming in at every 2 minutes. Unclear if it's related to the annoying red line changes where they're using shuttles for all the fun parts of the line, but that worked out fine for me.

Walked to the Harvard train stop from the event center in a kinda' sad state. I was walking real slow because I was listening to podcasts and didn't feel too eager about anything this was after all 11pm on a Friday night and I was walking home in the frozen wastelands. Friend SS overtook me and I shouted her name and we were both confused how she got ahead of me despite my 5-minute headstart. We walked to her bus-stop and waited for the bus since it was right next to the T entrance and she said how it felt like her dropping her siblings off I shrugged and said ehh I like spending time with people I like and then the bus came and she went. I went back home a lot less gloomy which means that all I needed was to get home later than so early it seems. Whatever.

Left home at 5PM ish and walked (workout!) to Davis, took the red line, got into the line at the awesome Ramen place in Harvard, and spent a solid hour maybe at the Harvard bookstore which is growing into my favourite bookstore along with Trident. Got four books that seemed appropriate for the station in life I'm at. Friend SS showed up first and we hung out at the store until the rest of the gang was over, we walked over to the ramen shop and waited maybe 20 minutes for our table. Got amazing ramen with pork broth, gave away the slice of pork, it was really spicy but honestly Santouka ramen is probably the best ramen I've ever had and it's only there that I've understood even the point of eating ramen. Glass of water fell down without causing too much damage, took photos, ate an interesting japanese dessert with sweet bean and mochi, it was warm really loved it, looked for the recipe for it but couldn't make heads or tails out of it.

Spent the entire day working and catching up for the previous two days' worth of posts since I wasn't up to my game. Was much more disciplined and had a lot to write on discipline and order lol and thus all the bumout posts about those things. Really productive day really maybe I should have written more so I didn't need to catch up today too, but ehh whatever.

Good books, good food, good friends, everything worked out fine, memories to treasure.
