Trouble on the workfront

Things often go this way, don't they. Everything's going well, until it's not?

The situation is as follows. My team supports a team of specialists, and we leverage their output to sell a lot of different products and 'culture' items to the company. Eight months ago we lost one of our specialists to a large company. Three weeks ago we lost the second one. And come this Monday, we're losing our third -- and final -- person. Which means we'll be left as a support team without the core maintainers producing the actual product. A little difficult place to find oneself in.

Besides that, I'm having trouble motivating myself do the job on a daily basis because there's so many spanners thrown about by the company and external teams. It's really rough. It's not the technical implementation that's challenging, just the fact that, it's not...easy to do things on a given timetable with so much happening around.

Tough times.
