Boon or a curse

People didn't listen to her that was their problem. They were always busy with their own petty drama and other bullshit and never paid attention to the useful information she was giving them. The invaluable life lessons that she had learned the hard way that she was giving away just like that so they didn't have to suffer but those annoying drama queens just wanted the pain and suffering it seemed like otherwise why not. It didn't make sense, she was a modern day cassandra and they didn't care at all.

Like last week, she said it would rain a lot and it did and then she said it as getting colder would snow probably and it did initially. She had people dating and breaking up and hooking up correctly all the time and people would act all surprised when she reminded them that she was the first person to have guessed. Of course, she knew of things worked, how people worked and what people wanted it was just math just project the way things are going on to the future make it interact with other things and that's your prediction. Fortunetelling some called it and spent thousands of dollars on superstitious bullshit while her accurate predictions were mostly ignored. It was because she was such a realistic person and didn't believe none of that religious or spiritual bullshit that people didn't give her credit. If she wanted to make bank she would just join one of those cults do weird shit and incense and vision and the works, in two months she would be in the front page of all the papers.

It had come at a personal cost too, this all had. Her partners wouldn't last long they were weirded out by her ability to basically see the future like a seer. She could predict the trajectory of her relationships quite accurately and tell people exactly what was going out in their heads and what they wanted to tell her. I guess that freaked them out or whatever but she wouldn't just hide her special abilities because it unnerved some people. It was a gift that she intended to share with as many people as possible.

As they said it was a boon and a curse. She considered testing her luck in the finance markets, stocks bonds etcetera maybe even some risky bets. The great thing about that was you didn't have to be write all the time or even most of the time, which she wasn't anyway despite her..abilities... you just had to be right more often than not, hedge your bets right and make sure if you lost you didn't lost catastrophically. That was it. Finance was for the bros and annoying people though she didn't want to be a sellout by using her abilities to make rich bankers even richer and besides she would gain no personal satisfaction out of it. Instead she was an independent business woman running her own social business that was growing slowly but gradually and when things fanned out she would stand to make a bumper out of it. That's how you made money ethically not selling out to some smart corporate hotshots who already have billions and billions, they didn't need her assistance to get even richer. She just wanted to normalize the power structure and that was a way of doing it.
