So yesterday we went to this place called Thomas Street Warehouse. It's in south lake union, and friend SK said we should go. So I figure it was going to be just the two of us. Turns out two dudes, young guys who just graduated colleg were supposed to be joining us to and they did, and it was fine. I don't mind hanging out with new people even though i don't enjoy hanging out with folks that are so much younger so frequently, as SK does anyway. Funny thing, this is actually the second time in the last week that he's brought unexpected guests to a planned hangout. Last week we went to somebody's home and he brought two new friends (mutuals) unasked, which was a bit weird, no?
We went to Thomas Street warehouse and fun fact about Thomas Street warehouse, their food is pretty decent. Their service is atrocious, I don't understand what goes on in that place. Their servers are not uniformed. Literally anybody could be your server and there's no way you could tell by looking at people. The second thing is they seem to be in so much rush all the time and i don't know what going on with their service. It's a little weird, but i didn't mind the place, it's pretty nice and the most amazing thing was it's got a lot more women than any place I've been to in Capitol Hill. Fewer tourists. And it's got a lot uh chiller vibe less seattle and more new york. Also a lot more straight people, which is my preference. So that works out for me. That outing was fun. I was already quite low on energy by the time we ended there because we had smoked up a bit and i taken some kava drink but i was okay to go to a chill club. Except it got really tiring and i didn't know anybody else except my friend and it was weird man.
Anyway we went to this club called Vue. The first thing that is super weird that I noticed is the bouncers want to take our money, off the books? Because I thought we were going to a proper club that took, you know, credit cards, I was not prepared with cash because why would I? The bouncers made money off us on the side.
We paid in cash. I was a bit short, whatever, they let me in. So to put this in context, i was really, really tired and had tried to go home and had no intention of going to the club, but i did anyway because i didn't want to miss out on anything fun. Then i was super sketched out by the bouncers because they took money from us on the side but still whatever. If the clubs worth it, then we go to the club. Unfortunately it's the most atrocious loud noise. And really, really bright flashing lights going on. Even when nobody's dancing, the vibe is like really low and slow, the music and lighting is intense. There's some mismatch already and i'm already low on energy, I stand by the side and look around. I'm dressed in a t-shirt and decent trousers. Turns out, i'm one of the more well-dressed people in there. A lot of people in shorts and t-shirts and there is quite a few people in their slippers as well, which was ridiculous because they shouldn't be allowing that in the clubs. Anyway, that was a bit much for me. I left the club at around 12:15, without dancing at all. Because i was so freaking disappointed and a tad bit angry. And came back home and had such a nice sound sleep, slept for 9, 10 hours.
The clubbing experience and the night out was terrible, but the sleep was great ended up spending like 100 bucks for an entire night, whatever. But i wish the night could have gone better.
