Got up at 7. This week has been productive waking-hour wise. Looked up tricks and tips for various projects online as I waited for the bathroom to clear up until half past seven. Went on a walk to Tufts, observed the great covid precautions they've implemented and the care with which the students are staying about. It's encouraging, I'm optimistic about the university openings at least in the Northeast.
Good walk, listened to a new podcast by the math boffins from the UK called the podcast of unnecessary detail. It's unclear if waking up early will improve one's mood and productivity throughout the day, the morning productivity went up and I feel good about myself so t's definitely something worth doing always.
Wrote couple of posts before work, started working on the 'character sheet' for the A&D series I talked about. It's not great, specially the whole-character arcs because I intend to have not too many major characters, but this shouldn't hurt. Most of the arcs involve characters in relation to the two primary persons. Need to write a 'paragraph-level summary of their arc', and really struggling with that because I don't know what I'll do for some random character that helped our protagonist realize a certain thing. Still even if just for the sake of exercising the creativity muscles gonna do it.
Work was alright, if a tad too unproductive. Felt bad about everything, wondered if there was something wrong with me, looking at the poor levels of productivity I was showing.
During the day, particularly during lunch and the abouts, did a couple of things about ongoing projects. Admitted defeat with the candied banana peels, might do it again sometime but the volume was far to great the texture a bit disappointing to put time and energy into it. It was starting to stress me out so I ended it before it became a bigger problem. Huhahaha. Also heated a couple of spoons of baking yeast until the critters were fell dead, dissolved them in a warm glass of water with couple of spoonfulls of sugar, added a packet of my champagne yeast and let it out for ten minutes. Boy the mixture was so frothy! Added the mixture to the two containers of banana syrup I have, now it's not a banana syrup anymore it'll be banana wine. Need to get a short tubing and siphon to get it into my carboy with airlock once the mixture gets in a better place. A little excited and a little afraid.
Cleaned up after work, the room myself everything, wrote a bit more, looked up videos, talked to the roommates, went out on a walk. To the nearby 7-11, Maghoun square and back. I'm thinking if the restuarants all had proper outdoors seating and had heaters and fires and blankets and what not [they could be doing laundry every day], I'd go out to eat more often than I've ever done.
Back home, BB spilled his glass of beer because the bottom dropped completely, helped clean the mess. They had made bacon so used bacon grease to heat up my burrito bean mix from the previous day, cook a bit of bok choy, an egg and added one of their potatoes to the burrito. The flavor was alright but the mess was incredible and didn't feel good at all after eating. I've been a fan of bacon grease despite avoiding meat and never want to see it go to waste, now I've had it enough with the grease and not gonna try it for the foreseeable future not even for conservation purposes.
Wrote a bunch in the evening, had trouble getting the motivation so chilled for two hours before finally getting two posts out, I write this the next morning. Went to sleep at half past twelve, it was a hot day so used my dolaai, the light blanket from Nepal.
