Last September we went to the Dashain picnic South of Seattle. And couple of weeks later, went to Nepali cultural program at volunteer park. We also got in the mailing list of the Nepali community groups in the area. Earlier this week we went to hike Mt. Rainier with Seattle Nepali Hiking Community group, and it was actually quite well-organized. Turns out those people are wonderful, nice people to go hiking and general chilling with. Lovely, really. Compared to the Nepali group in greater Boston area who were a bit more...traditional, and not at all aligned with the interests of the contemporary Nepali standards.
In any case, I've finally connected to the Nepali groups in Seattle and would like to spend more time with them.
