Taqueria Jalisco Restaurant: A review

I went to Taqueria Jalisco on Thursday, right before going to the Library in South Seattle to get my library card made. Quick review of a short trip.

Perhaps I was hungry due to my one-meal-a-day diet, or perhaps it was that I haven't had good Mexican food since Boston trip more than a month ago. Or maybe I was just looking to eat something cheap yet tasty. Regardless of what may be the reason, Taqueria Jalisco blew my hats off, and I'd be willing to make the 2-hour total roundtrip journey just to get the 9$ burrito. The review should end here, really.

And that was just for the simplest of burritos, a rice and beans burrito with veggies. The size I got was the 'kiddie' one, for eight bucks, and I was already quite tight in the tummy with that. The price was highly amenable, the taste heavenly, the ambiance much better than the crappy Mexican place by my apartment that costs 1.5x, and they had a nice massive fixins bar, something which I hadn't seen before.

I ordered the Takis fuego snack with my burrito, and finished half the packet before my burrito arrived.

If we were to have this sort of place all around, I'd never go to a Taco Bell again. Cross my heart and swear on my head.

Let's make it happen people, taco and burrito trucks on every corner!
