I visited
The Ballard Farmer's Market
On the weekend,
And thought
Man, I should
have come before,
For the vendors
were professional
serving goods
of the highest nature
The visitors,
all nice and kind,
and oh so
age appropriate.
An very
conventional too,
boring in all the right ways.
Really,
I should have gone before.
But the biggest
Lesson of all
Was the realization
That more than anything
I want to be
one of them,
slinging sandwiches
and mushroom blocks.
