Send it to the director
and ask for his stamp
before it's time.
And so on and on,
Went the file
On a journey
worthy of hercules
Up the sections
and down the departments
sideways into annexes
and deep into filing boxes,
sped up by the grease of cash
or slowed down
by the friction
of honesty,
Three weeks
and three days went by
and finally
when all was said and done
came the sign
from the big one,
with three initials,
who shook our hero's hand
and said,
congratulations sir,
you are indeed
not dead at all!
