Fall season for all

This time of year,
In the Northern States,
The skies are red
and so are trees,
as if
they're dripping
with blood
and perhaps loss
of the summer gone by
and the fear of the
cold unrelenting winter
coming in.
Here in Seattle
trees go orange
and a little yellow
but the greenery remains,
a reminder
not all is bleak
in this land
of black soil
and ample rain
where the winter gloom
is never such a doom
where the snow
won't beat you down
and the rain
a mere inconvenience.
The green lands
of Seattle winter
Remind us,
What after all,
Life is for,
To await the
Victory after the fall,
The Spring
Never to far
from the Fall.
