Utilities out the wazoo

This annoying issue has gotten out of hand at this point and I'm highly motivated to fix this. My former roommates got a huge utilities bill under my name in Boston years after I left, and it's been left unpaid, and under my name. I've reached out to them to clear it several times and haven't heard back. Reached out to the utility company with a large ream of evidence to get it out of my credit account but it's possible hey might need extra evidence to be fully convinced. Such as a police report certifying that I wasn't there and it was actually fraud. I don't want to charge folks for fraud, but if they're not going to pay their own utilities or clear it out, it's going to be extremely limited options. I won't be paying other people's 600 dollars in utilities for no good reason.
