Review of Kaboobish Pakistani restaurant, Philadelphia

This is a quick review of the Kabobish Pakistani restaurant in West Philly.

Pros first. Amazing, and I mean unbelievable value for money. For twelve bucks you can get a heavy breakfast for two people on a single order. Their puris are the largest I've ever seen, their parathas are as large as a small nanglo. Their meat skewers are fat and juicy-looking. So ten out of ten for value for money.

Ten out of ten for flavor. Not too spicy, spiced enough. Like something you'd find at a decent place in Pakistan. Rich and thick with spices, yum yum yum. Man I miss it so much five days later. And oily, ahhh the yummy oily flavor. My stomach's growling now.

The downsides were few. The 'ambiance' was...who really cares if there's large flies around, it's never bothered me. The food was far too oily even for pakistani food but that's never bothered me before.

If you're in the Philly area and looking for cheap grubs from the sub-continent but not willing to shell large moolahs for mediocre Indian food, go here. Just, like, go. They're authentic. Including the haleem and nihari.
