The final villain: topics to write about

If you give me something to write about, I'll write. Thousands of words even. They won't be any good, but nothing ever is. It's fine. It's something. My opinions and ideas and thoughts on the topic were expressed. An unpolished mass of earth was extracted. The process of polishing it and shaping is a different one. One I'm not ready for. It's the next step.

I'm having trouble with the current step: generating enough insightful, interesting, topics. Topics I can write about without being too expressive. Cool, interesting things to write about. Something I can entertain me, that I can write to entertain others. Them's the hard part. I can write, but I can't figure out what to write about.

It sucks.

It's alright. I'm learning.

Here's what I've  concluded. I should be in 'idea generation mode' constantly, get a notebook if I must. I've got some good notekeeping apps too. Anytime I get an interesting idea or concept, I need to jot it down right away, the topic and the theme around which the content will revolve. I can unwind that single thread of an idea into a yarn, into a piece of cloth, and sew that cloth into a proper piece of clothing later. Just need to keep that quality seed safe, and have the concept connected to the topic.

That's the plan now.

It's not sustainable to come up with something on the spot and just bang on it for hours and hours and hours, it's just not sustainable. Ideas are hard to come by.
