'Zero Covid' is an incredibly obtuse, politically unachievable, goal that only the Chinese government can even dream of implementing, and even then it'll be the downfall of the central planners at the CCP when they discover that while nationalism is hell of a drug and people will go with you today, and even tomorrow, and even the day after, one day eventually they're gonna be sick and tired of your bullshit and start questioning the exact credentials you have for implementing such draconian measures at such incredible cost, and you can tell them we're the best nonono look at the rest of the world they suck we rock they might for a moment or two or three even believe you but you cannot fool all the people all time and with each of those unnecessary actions people's appetite for bullshit goes down considerably until they start questioning your more 'reasonable' decisions, and that's when hell will break lose so let this one go eat your words and pride and live like a real country like the experts have recommended instead of trying to achieve the impossible. You can try, but the math doesn't lie, the bigger the pride the higher the fall, and at this point you're only setting yourself up for a very painful fall.
