Appointments and Disappointments [2]

...Not enough, though. Life had become dull even though she was having a good time...

It was 3am, and they were at Richa's house. She had sobered up quick. She was annoyed. Everyone else was drunk and acting stupid. She didn't have anything to do, and her mind was...jumping around. She had snuck out a few times to kiss. She couldn't do it anymore. She'd throw up if she had to kiss again, or if his sharp lips -- how can anyone's lips ever be sharp, but there they were -- poked her chin one more time while he said ohh baby mmmm you're so sweet. She would literally figuratively, all the ate-ivelys, throw up. It was just so so much. He was alright, he wasn't a bad guy and he certainly tried his level best whatever that meant. Everything had gotten just so...boring. A year ago, she would have given anything to be kissing a cute guy and having him give his full attention to her. Now she would come up with creative ways to get rid of him when she was bored for fun.

Baby, he whispered into her ear, let's get some fresh air. She took a sharp breath. Something inside her clicked, or broke, or whatever. She jumped up. Let's Gooo, she said. He took her hand and lead her to the front garden. They sat by the pond.

The two sat by the cool winter moonlight, staring at each others face. He moved away the tuft of hair in front of her eyes with his forefinger. She contorted her lips and tried blowing the remaining strands away. He brought his lips closer to hers. She paused. He saw that her eyes looked lost. And then they lit up.

Ssshhhh, sshh, she said, putting her forefinger over his lips. She gave him a smile, lips thinned, bigger on one side, and narrowed her tired, mascaraed eyes. He touched her finger with the tip of his tongue, probing it a few times. She quickly wiped it on her skirt.

Babe, you sleepy, he asked. She took a heavy breath. I have an idea, she said, and I think you'll like it!
