A popular micro brewery a friend of mine used to work in at has closed down. She was pretty passionate about it when she was there, and had pleaded the owners to be more organized and business-minded. They however were apparently a couple of friends who wanted to own a brewery and make whatever they could off of it and were not interested in improving things or organising things because it was too much work. Better the work you enjoy than the growth you don't, they had said apparently. And now after four years there's neither. It's sad but was avoidable.
Speaking of which, I know at least a few more people who are in the process of starting micro breweries around the area. I wonder what their experiences are going to be like. Really hope this works out for the best, they did really bring up the global beer game to the next level.
