Good movie day [Saturday 19]

After writing the daily journal last night, I couldn't go to sleep. Because I had slept for 3 hours in the evening. Ended my watching the entire first season of Living with Myself Netflix series. That was a really great revelation for me because I thought of a very similar plot foundation a decade ago, but didn't know how far I could take the idea. The series showed me where I could have gone with it. With multiple related arcs and other serious issues, the clone issue will only take you so far unless you have real meat and potatoes and conflicts. I ended up mostly fast forwarding through the less interesting parts to figure out the more important plot parts. It was fun thinking how I'd have written it and then seeing how they did it.

Talked to a couple of people late at night. Roommate PK came back at 3.30 in the morning and tried to catch up news of the night with him but ended up disturbing roommate SM.

This morning got up at 8.30 so not much sleep and barely got light breakfast. Watched a bunch of YouTube and was figuring out what I wanted to do when HK texted to ask if I wanted to go watch the Korean film festival in AMC park. I hadn't seen him since our hang so I agreed. Took the bike to Davis and then the red line. Watched the movie (see the previous two posts) with HK and went to Gourmet Dumpling Cafe. Their scallion pancake was good and I thought mapo tofu too but JD thought it smelled like fridge (had leftovers). After a good meal and conversation with HK, talked to JD on the phone and came to Brookline.

JD had already made dinner, which only she ate because I was so full. We watched half of an Indian art movie from 1992 which I thought it was alright. Too long. JD went to meditate and sleep while I obsessed over the movie and sent recommendations to literal strangers too. As of right now listening to the slate spoiler podcast about this movie as I write this. Going to sleep after this. No workout for today or cleanups because I'm not at home. I'm obsessed with the movie I need to stop with this.
