7 things that will SHOCK you post-lockdown

The multiple rounds of lockdowns and quarantines have changed the way we perceive our surroundings. We've all grown to become introverts. When, at some time in the foreseeable future, the lockdowns ease and things start opening in a safe and scientific manner, we're bound to discover that while we were inside, the world outside had changed quite a bit. Here are seven things that will SHOCK you as you go back to the regular world. Whatever that means anymore.
  1. Someone just dialed the contrast and brightness on trees way, way too much, and now they look unnatural. Trees were never this bright and nauseatingly green, you're right. Someone went in somewhere and played around with the settings and now trees are so bright, you look green when nearby. This was obviously not how things were back in the day.
  2. The traincars are a lot narrower now, it's not just you. They figured out if no one was gonna take the trains, might as well squeeze those damn trains so they can take sharp corners faster.
  3. The air got cooler and less-smellier while you were gone! It just happened. You think I'm joking, but THIS IS NOT NORMAL MAY WEATHER, so you better believe it!|
  4. Other people's cats and dogs got even cuter.
  5. Birds got brave. The orange and yellow and bright blue and green birds that you see in your neighborhood actually went to Alaska and the Amazon rainforest in the past. Without the humans around to mess things around, they figured there was no point in flying so far, and chilled right where they were at.
  6. Plants grew faster. Weeds, lawns, even household plants! The squash that took three months to fruit has already produced a giant stalk that goes up to the roof in three weeks. You could try climbing it later in the summer and check who lives up in there.
  7. This one ain't come as too much of a shock, but is worth the mention. While you were huddled up inside your place, a different disease was making the rounds, and the whole world has gone mad. Ah well, there's nothing you can do about it.
