Pardon my french but I feel pretty good about the vaccinated situation. It's been nine days now and no side effects etcetera, and apparently this is when the protection is at its strongest. Two more weeks for the second shot, two weeks after that and I'm...don't want to say invincible because an ongoing pandemic and other related crises are not the best of times to test one's luck, but you get the gist yeah.
In any case, the entirety of our apartment has been fully vaxxed, also their partners, so in a week or two we're ready to rock and roll. It's going to be great times ahead.
Nothing more to add, though socializing feels weird...it's hard to connect to people again and being in large group feels odd. Of course, it's easy to forget how to talk to strangers which is what has happened to me, and it's not a big deal, it's just...tiring, to have to learn basic social skills once again at this age alas. Why do we even need the stupid skills.
In any case, after Seattle -- a bit more than three weeks from right now -- things in and around our circle should be fully protected and social activities will go back to the usual.
Good times, good times, fingers crossed.
