productive day at work, high in spirits and energy, lame pasta lunch, 3 hours processing all the fking 21 bottles of rice wine, grocery shopping at TJ's, breads and pasta with actual cheese for dinner, walk to Volunteer park, evening writing, finished The story of tea, beginning new book of audio, evening writing
Had quite a productive day at work, something the new squad was preparing to spend months doing was done over a week and everyone was excited at the progress. It's that possibly, or the fact that I talked to the therapist, or maybe just the weather in these days kept me high in spirit and I was beaming for no good reason.
Had the pasta for lunch, it was pretty bad. It's important because this was the last bad pasta meal.
Spent a couple of hours squeezing out rice wine from the 3 batches I have on top of my fridge. I now have 21 bottles of chhang fermenting until the right time. Turns out I'd undercooked the rice so it wasn't possible to blend it all either. Good lesson for the next batch.
Went to do grocery shopping at trader joe's, realized I was absolutely dying from some carbs, carbs carbs carbs and bread and tomato, cheese and sandwiches. Bought the nicest olive oil TJ's had to offer which was 15 buckaroos for a small bottle. It's quite peppery and spicy, guessing it was the real deal, and it's...alright. Like I understand why it's highly prized and how people like it so much, but meh. I've had better, I like mustard oil more. Did 60 dollar shopping.
For dinner I had a couple of slices of bread dipped in the tomato dip I got there. Also made a tomato sandwich with cheese, which tasted amazing. And finally also ate a little bit of pasta with cheese in it, the green bottle's white powder cheese. The smell and texture of cheese is amazing.
Walked to Volunteer park in the evening, finished listening to The Story of tea freaking finally it was so long and exhausting. Started the book on yeast, it's pretty decent too.
Wrote a great number of posts in the evening, and now on track to average five posts a day.
