Sun's out and so is everyone

Sun is out and everyone's about, Scary. So so scary. Anyone could be infected sneeze on you or nearby you the mask ain't gonna help you a whole tonne it'll make you feel more comfortable going out. Not going to save you. It's for the infected folks to stop spreading the germies around. Which they don't care about. One in five maybe every one in six has a mask the ones that have it on are doing it well most don't seem to care. At all. What's happening how long will this last. Long sigh. Oops. Shouldn't have done that. Greater chance of inhaling the virus.

It's not just that. The gloves will help of course but still have to remember to not touch the phone with the gloves. Or disinfect the phone after getting back home because the phone can reinfect you. And also worry about people who walked the steps you did because their germies could still be chilling about ready to pounce upon any pair of healthy longs they can get their thorny round virusy bodies into. You can negotiate with the viruses, you can't coax the virus you can't beg it you can't threaten it, it doesn't care if you economy will come crashing down it doesn't care if you make a legitimate threat of nuking it. It doesn't care about your threats to kill all your people to destroy its medium. It'll just keep reproducing happily and mutating and copying itself over and over and over. Host to host. Careless person to person. In restaurants and bars and those goddamn football games. Of course it'll spread in football games. And people will ask how did we ever let that happen. Fifty thousand people went in, only ten infected and that too barely, twenty thousand came out infected. They'll spread around to more, and more and more and the wave will be bigger the deaths will be higher the reinfections scarier the closures intense the fear more permanent. It's a choice. You shut everything down so the normal culture may be back, or you force things open and risk larger tsunamis of infections and deaths so that the social culture will permanently change against public events. It'll fuck people they're pretending to save over for ever.

So it goes.
