And it's raining in Seattle

Thought of the topic originally like two weeks ago, never wrote on it, and here we are. Suck it, pretend I'm still in Seattle and you've not read the last many dozens nonsense and play along. Okay? Okaaay? Because this is all we have left, after the godfarking pandemic, the thin strand of sanity and hope that our existence hangs on, don't take that away. Fuckoff with your pessimism and keep reading.

I have made it a point to stress how much of a great weather Seattle's had during my stay. Almost every day was nice warm and sunny, but never oppressively so. Cool winds blew from the ocean in the evening and took the edge off. Perfect, as if the Gods had decided I needed to fall in love with the town and tried to trick me into moving. Which, by the way, they succeeded in doing but that's by-the-by, we'll discuss the gods and their machinations in the future posts.

So Seattle weather has been perfect during my stay. Now that my days are numbered in this town for this leg, and it's time to head out home, the weather's gotten bad. Like Seattle bad. It's gloomy all day long, and drizzles non-stop. Nobody carries an umbrella here because the rains are never too heavy for that, a simple hoodie is sufficient. The mood is that of a grumpy russian alchoholic who's just woken up with a terrible hangover and is scheming towards the next round of drinks.

It's clear, I get the message. I brought the good weather, the city weeps for my departure, or it's showing me it's true nature. Either/or all of those together in a complicated binary logic combination even the smartest computers cannot figure out. Seattle is one hell of a mystery, that I'll tell. And sometimes any statement that's so general is an exaggeration, but really why are their crosswalks skinny and double, why are the restaurants so expensive despite the area's much lower average income, while their housing costs are actually quite decent versus eastern mass? How is their politics so strange and...divided. And the people, they're freakin' weirdos, if there's one thing you need to take away from all these posts, take that one.

It's raining in Seattle. I've seen the 'real' city, I'm not yet turned off, it makes me curious, what else is there to know. I'll be coming back Seattle, watch out!
