It's 12.30 at night and I'm finally writing the journal posts for today. Still got like 8 posts to write if I wanted to get caught up with everything, but that's a cause that's been lost at this point. Going to get done with these journals first and put in the fillers for the rest.
I've been writing this for the last hour-and-half, since I'm going to NYC tomorrow morning I need to get up at half past five, so should be in bed right about now... But so close to being done, so here we are, five more minutes and it's bed time.
Before I was writing, I spent an hour-and-half trying to roast potatoes as I talked to the guys -- Pk's friends from school. ND was here too, and we just talked about chill things and people's future plans. Man what a day and night of difference it makes, the conversation between two groups of people somebody is friends with.
In the end I had half of the potato dish and kept the rest for tomorrow. So: roasted potatoes that weren't completely crispy, cheese, eggs, mustard, kimchi, and onions. Got all major food groups in there, nobody's going to be complaining about it being deficient in something for sure.
Before the cooking, I went on a two-hour walking trip to Market Basket where I spent a good chunk of time just wandering the aisles. Not looking for anything particular, just checking if anything's good.
In the afternoon, I submitted the application for my Seattle apartment, and talked to the landlord here informing him of the situation and request for consideration. Things went well. Also got good conversations going with a few other friends including ss, always looking forward to that.
The work itself was quite slow, I'm transitioning between teams so there's not much to look into. Had an hourlong chit-chat with my team.
In the morning I got up quite early...it's bright so quick, and spent listening to podcasts and not doing much. It's clear my body has adjusted to this timezone and is more than okay with me being up early, without complaining later in the day.
That's all I got, time for bed!
