Overheard: I'm a man not a machine etc

Overheard in Seattle and in Boston in a certain distance to the author by persons known to him in some manner or other. I am a man, not a machine. Stated in a very serious tone, a bit tired perhaps, intending to convey the message of tiredness and lack of energy from the speaker. With regards to expectations of interactions with other people in a manner wholly incompatible with the guidance provided by the CDC for the covid-19 pandemic, but also in general quite unsustainable. Said with a light tone of regret, often followed by statements about one's plan for the future on how to otherwise keep themselves occupy besides engaging in intimate social actions.

Everybody deserves kindness and support, and when they're looking for it, a guidance for a direction they might want to go.
