Bald eagles, rainbow-colored birds, snakes

That's a non-exhaustive list of cool things we saw today. Went to a marsh for hiking, it was pleasantly surprisingly empty because apparently it's dirty and gross and also a little out of the way and most of the noobs don't know of it, they'll just take the cycle path and the regular pedestrian path near our secret location.

This was the third time we were there. Over four years. And so peaceful, cool weatherwise, so shockingly confusingly amusingly unbelievably green. As if a bad photo editor had pumped up the brightness of the scenery. So green your eyes almost hurt, the bright kinda-yellowish green that just casts green shadows into the floor, so green you could bathe in the light.

The Japanese apparently have this concept of 'soaking up the forest', sort of forest-bathing, taking up the nature with your body and bringing part of it into everyday. We were in the perfect place for it.

We saw two bald eagles resting up high on the trees, apparently they are quite exciting and something worth talking about. The more interesting birds, for me anyway were the brown birds that had bright yellow blue and green stripes of them as if they were country-branded birds. And our favourite the orange-brown bird obviously. PL spotted two snakes perhaps there were more we didn't really count far away from us chilling out in the sun warming themselves they could have been a mother and her children because there was one large fat one and several small ones.
