Got up pretty early because we slept not too late, since YKD was sick.
YKD was still sick and immobile. She left us to rest in her apartment. Early in the morning the three of us boys went out, at 9.30 am to get nooh-yawhk breakfast: eggs and cheese in croissant and an expensive smoothie. Took the things back to our place, gave 'em to YKD. YKD and PT took an uber to her place, the two of us boys walked there. Such a fresh walk, so many interesting people, made the observation then that the city is truly a diverse place and how it's amazing it's so busy all the time. It's wild.
Hung for a couple of hours at YKD's place. Talked a bunch, got to know Catherine or caroline who is YKD's roommate. She's apparently a very big fan of schitt's creek also, talked a bunch about that. Talked about what kind of people the guys should date and why it might not be a good idea to go by the first instinct.
N and I took an uber to midtown to a beer garden. So busy so many people, we were seated indoors. We went on a walk after getting our reservation made, but our number came up in like fifteen minutes so it wasn't too big of a stroll. We got the tables and N got a good beer, I got the heiniken zero. Wouldn't drink it if I wasn't in a bar, but it's a good pretend-gift.
Spent an hour with N drinking and talking, then PB and her bf showed up. So much to talk about and catch up with PB. Every time I see her she looks happier by the minute! It was the first serious interaction with A, he seems like a cool guy, heard his music but first conversation. We talked about hobbies, interests, marriages, common interests what we want to do in the future, and everything else under the sun. Like our families. Good catchup.
RD and his newly-wed wife showed up. A quick catchup and the group was abuzz, the six of us. They told us the tales of their weddings, the things they were upto and his busy schedule. The two disparate groups got to know each other.
An hour or two later, PT showed up with a bouquet of flower and an envelope full of cash as the wedding gift. Since the table wasn't for six, we had to close our accounts and leave. We finished the nachos we ordered, I ate mostly.
We left the place and walked to the Washington Square Garden where SS [HLS] also came in. Got caught up with everyone at the same time. The walk was fun, talked serious stuff with RD. When we got there the guys got brown bags and beers and everyone had funsies drinking in the open. Cool convos with SS and PB.
Left the place to head out, apparently half our group had ended up in a bar in search of a toilet. Got an alcohol-free beer there too, more conversations. Fun conversations with SS there again. Got hit on the back for ribbing her about her past decisions.
Took an uber to SHK's apartment, SS included. SS abandoned us at the last moment. Sigh. Hurt.
SHK made an amazing taco buffet. So much eating, stomachs hurt. PT went back to YKD's place at 11.30 ish to check up on her and take her dinner. We stayed up until 2.30. I slept much earlier, napped on the couch. With a blanket on. Farting inside it because my tummy was messed up.
Played with the two cats in the apartment.
Saw some concerning things, could have been dreaming. Went into the restroom because I was having troubles, heard lotsa strange noises coming from the outside. I was afraid confused shy etcetera. Got out after like fifteen minutes, said I had to leave because I was meeting with SST early in the morning. N decided he didn't want to finish the movie either, we walked back to our place. We talked about dating, how one chooses partners, and what different strategies are for different circumstances.
Back home, NG fell asleep pretty early on. I sent a bunch of gloomy things to poor poor PA who's long-suffered my bouts of hangry sleepy rants. She felt very very bad for me. Slept a pretty sound sleep on the empty bed.
