FAQ about the shimmering blue light coming from the secret room

Dear coworkers, some of you have noticed after looking through the large glass window panel into the secret room that there's a shimmering blue light emanating from the place. We want to assure you that it should be of no immediate concern, and wanted to answer the most frequent questions you have asked us.

Q: Will it kill me?
A: What is death really but another adventure? A wise bearded wizard once said that. Kidding! No, it probably won't, but don't quote us on that because if you're to go according to the legislation set by the state of California, pretty much anything can kill you. Including the mysterious blue light you know nothing about.

Q: Is it harmful radiation?
A: As we've said before, anything can be harmful, in large enough dosage. Thanks to three feet of concrete and lead wall, and the thick lead-mixed glass, we should be pretty safe from whatever that is, so no it's not harmful. And when you talk about radiation, you have to remember that everything is a form of radiation, including matter and light and electricity. You get the gist. No, it's not conventional radiation in the way uranium emits radiation, if that's what you meant.

Q: What happened to the people who went into the room?
A: Ahh yes, the accusations that those who've gone in have disappeared forever! That is absolutely incorrect and a little preposterous. They were laid off for not following the safety rules clearly, why have their friends and families not sued us out of existence otherwise? Do you even remember what those coworkers looked like, what their genders were, or what their voices sounded like? That's right you don't, because they never existed.

Q: Why do I see shimmering images of my dead grandparents in that room ambling about sometimes?
A: That is one of the side-effects of owning the room, the vendor has informed us, so this is only natural, nothing to be overly concerned about. Due to the nature of light and radiation, the information coming out of the room can traverse temporal boundaries, so it's possible images and 'sightings' of your long-lost relatives who spend their youth in these parts may appear there.

Q: How is the thing producing the blue light?
A: The details are not important. It's basically a temporal displacement device, the blue light coming off of it is what they called Cherenkov radiation, when light travels faster than its velocity in empty space it gives that off due to...some conservation law or other. Because there's temporal discontinuities in the room, there's excessive radiation coming out.

Q: I went to the room accidentally because my coworkers were playing a prank on me. What's going to happen?
A: Nothing to be too concerned about! We are surprised you're still around! Soon, you'll disappear from our reality and be taken to a random point in time due to the anomalies of the room. Gradually after that, your existence will begin disappearing from our reality, until a point in a far away future when all evidence of your existence will be gone. No one will remember you, not even reality, you will have left no temporal or physical evidence in reality.

As they say, bon voyage.
