I'm becoming obsessed with chocolate

I've talked about my love of chocolate here often, the post on chocolate links to this post. Here I'll talk about how the love has grown into a full-blown affair and what a good time it's been.

I realized eating dark Chocolate improves my mood considerably sometime two months ago. Since then I've bought approximately ten bars of chocolate, very very dark chocolate, 70% at its lightest and going up to 95% and finished it all. When I last cleared the trash can from my room my roommate commented how it was mostly covers of chocolate bars. What can I say, they've grown on me!

The Aldi ones are the best, as always. And now I'm starting to branch out. Market Basket sells small bars of boutique chocolate for $2.50 each I've been bringing a new one every week or so. Apparently each one has a particular flavor profile and the surroundings the beans were grown in have an impact on the flavor. And not all dark chocolate is supposed to be deadly bitter, it's just the over-roasted cacao beans that are over-roasted to create a uniform taste that give it the bad name.

So now I'm thinking of buying single-origin cacao bean chocolates. They go for like $8 a pop, but I've heard it's worth it.

I realize it's becoming a problem, I didn't think I'd be spending 20 bucks a month just on my chocolate needs. But hey, everyone's got a poison, and as they go mine are not too objectionable.
