12 pieces of advice to Mr. Potter

  1. Dragons are not pets, Harry.

  2. Maybe pay attention to your classes once a while instead of being involved in all that mystery nonsense maybe that way you wouldn't need to cheat or seek help of your smarter friend!

  3. We've all been teenagers, we know the angst and the rebellious spirit. We have however never ever not trusted any adult person ever and gone explicitly against everything we are told to endanger our lives and everyone else's.

  4. Speaking of which, if you really want to endanger you life sure whatever fine, but spare your friends and classmates man, they didn't agree to become a part of it. They could get killed or seriously hurt just to keep you safe!

  5. Invisibility cloak. What about that. Gotta be more careful with that brow, can't just have it sitting around for other people to find it.

  6. Consider the possibility that the people like and care about might be the bad guys. Think about if you're the bad guy, and figure out ways to not be one.

  7. If you paid half as much attention to your grades as you did to quidditch you wouldn't be using underpowered spells against seriously powerful wizards but making it through anyway because luck's on your side. Dude, if you were half as lucky, you'd have died like four times as many times.

  8. Do you dishes. It's fun to be all ooo I'm the badass wizard the boy who lived I don't care about dirty dishes these prole peons will do that for me, but it's quite rude and people won't give you respect anymore if you keep on with that attitude.

  9. Listen to your wife, and friend hermione when they say things are really messed up in the wizarding society and there needs to be some pretty radical change brought on to make it a more fair and equitable place. Think of how messed up it must be to be a house-elf or a goblin, or even a squib! Things are not okay in your society and the person who's benefited probably the greatest from the existing hierarchy (see: that large pile of gold in your bank account, your family name, your position place, the benefit of doubt people give to you), you should be the one taking proactive steps towards getting things straight.

  10. What's up with those longass confusing names for you kids man, you know no one's ever going to call them all those things, why even bother yah.

  11. What are you views on capital gain taxes and progressive taxation? What about property tax. Because the Weasleys sure could use some help, and there's thousands of families like the Wesleys who don't have to be your friends.

  12. Consider a change to your career in aurorship and let more coolheaded folks prevail.
