Olba news, mindblowing fried rice, Nepal talk [Mon 13]

Really busy at work, didn't have much time to do regular writing even. Which was great in one sense of the word. Didn't have time to think through lunch so had slices of watermelon, and oats and berries with honey. Not sure if it's the oats or the almond milk or the berries, but got a bit burpy for some time after. Need to figure out what's causes me that.

During the day, read a bunch of news from Nepal. Most of it involved the Prime Minister making increasingly ridiculous comments about everything. My family's beginning to question his sanity because he seems to say just about anything that comes into his head without giving it a moment of consideration. It could be senility, could be something else. The other theory going around is that he's trying to distract from all the crises happening around his government and by taking all the attention to his stupidity and the lack of considered thoughts. Which should help his cause somehow, question mark? The logic is not clear to me. I've thought of a third theory, maybe he's trying to look so stupid the Indians don't think he's a real threat and would rather have the buffoon around than anyone else who might cause them harm. Idk. To be fair, Indian claims of the fabled mythical city are just as valid as his ridiculous claims, both have as much historical backing, so that's something to consider.

After work, wrote more, watched scrubs. Planned on going out for a walk but the oats from the morning weren't too filling. Decided to make fried rice. Ended up making maybe seven pounds of fried rice. I've written about that a couple of posts before. Though I don't eat meat, the ham from Costco at N's had to be finished or they'd throw it away. So I started with a ham base, threw in a bunch of vegetables, oyster sauce, soy sauce, adding stale rice and fresh rice. Fried em all together. It was good. The rice was a lot, I couldn't cook it all up in the same pot. So threw up the veggies with rice in a separate pot without frying them at all. Like biriyani let the veggies and oils soap into rice. Them were good leftovers oh man. As long as you put in a lot of oil, cook your veggies well and spice them right there's no easy way to mess up fried rice. N enjoyed it a lot I was excited about that, he had two helpings in the evening and then a large helping the next morning.

Talked to Po in Nepal, who's helping me setup the startup. We talked for maybe an hour on what she's been upto. They're doing zoom calls and online classes in Nepal. The complaint from the teachers is that the parents seem to be getting a lot more involved in the children's assignment, they've given up on making it sound like their children did it. She's been experimenting with many different raw materials and new products. Should be seeing something good coming off of that soon enough. She needs help with marketing, tax things and supplier and distribution work, need to figure out a way to get those problems solved.

Had an amazing realization, a style for the appointments and disappointments storyline. Where the story is punctured by angry text intended to scare certain members of the potential readership crowd. Need to put more  effort into that.

Couldn't sleep well, ended up falling asleep at 3am. Got up way too early the next morning.
