It's time to live like people of the past

Live simply. Live comfortably. Appreciate the simple things in life.

Walk, walk everywhere you can. Because you've got all the time in the world. The world has slowed down, if you don't have children or other commitments, go with the flow. Don't worry too much about being prepared for the 'after', abandon juggling multiple responsibilities so you will come off running better. Spend those hours on the internet on walking instead. Side streets, parks, hiking trails, anywhere that's peaceful and not bustling with people. If it's bustling go ahead as long as you maintain distance.

Spent time to cook your meals, enjoy the feeling. Bake your own bread, because why not. It's not like you have family to go to, friends to hang out with. Do your conversations as you bake. Make soups, those cheap soups that go long. Make massive meals.

Keep the heat on the low, dress up. Because there's such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Avoid wearing shorts and T-shirt inside the house, fighting against nature may be fun, but only takes you away from experiencing it fully.

Walk to your destination, not just for fun. Two hours, three hours, why not. Walk to do your groceries as often as you can. Don't wander and dally around, but you get the fresh air, the food is fresher and you learn to appreciate the journey of food from the farm to your plate.

Learn about your neighborhood, explore your surroundings. Get to know your streets, the restaurants and bakeries. Make friends with the local grocer and baker, know the coffee barista by name. Talk to other customers, bask in the social connection.

Reach out to your neighbors, be curious about what they're upto. Be out and about and hang out with them, from afar. Know them by name. Smile and wave, smile and wave. Because why the heck not, not like you have much else happening.

Be nice to random strangers, smile and wave, greet them any hour of the day. The weather is going to be brutal, they don't need people to do the same.

Get up early in the morning, get out of the house rain or shine. Get rainjacket and trousers! Go to bed early because it's darker early. The outside is your friend, don't be afraid of dressing up!
