Planet stuck: Frequently asked questions to the two meeting 'stars'

How does it feel to be so close after such a long time, and is there a possibility a collab that might happen happen between the two of you anytime soon?

Well as you know, it had been quite some time, a long time actually and we missed other dearly, and we're planning on meeting again pretty soon, compared to our last gap anyway haha if you know what I mean, so we're very very elated excited eager, I can't tell you how happy we are to be meeting again. It's just a great feeling, to catch up with somebody you've known so intimately and so dear to your heart after this long, and just...stay together, not doing anything really, and get caught up. Talk a lot obviously, stay in the couch, get some hot chocolate it's winter time watch some netflix and maybe figure the rest later? So to answer your question, it feels incredible, we're so very thankful we're back for however short time this is going to be, and eagerly waiting for our next meeting. We haven't yet worked out on a collab yet, but we'll see what comes off of it going forward. It's not an absolute necessity for either of us, and for me at least, I'm just happy to get in touch emotionally and appreciate each other's presence. If any creative process is triggered organically, well I'm not going to be against it, but there's no chance I'll be making conscious action towards it, letting things move is now my ne agenda.

This has been the first time you've been actually caught together in like, you know film camera nad digital media and all of that, surely you must find yourself in a new light, as a pair. Is there anything that's caused you to rethink or re-evaluate yourselves after seeing in the new medium, or is it all fundamentally the same?

Well, you're always seeing yourself in a new light, no, every moment is an evolution so fundamentally I wouldn't say there's something wild and crazy about this time, it's just something interesting that happened at the right moment, and we're glad of it. Yes, it is very cool that we were able to take advantage of the modern technology at this point, but just as a reminder, the last time we were together, it was pretty cutting edge technology too and we hadn't seen portraits of ourselves done like that before. So every experience is new and mind-opening, so haha if you're asking if this one is uniquely unique, I wouldn't go so far as to claim that, all of the opportunities have been quite amusing really, and we really appreciate that. And yes, seeing ourselves in moving video was quite interesting, but also let me remind you that it's quite difficult to take those videos technically, and there's a lot of technical trickery involved in generating those clips. To put it differently, what you're seeing is created very differently from say how your regular youtube videos are made, it's a different phenomena. But that only makes one feel better because that shows the progress in science and technology, and how easily it is to abstract the underlying technology and present the output as video clips. So my greatest appreciation is here of the technology that is able to accomplish these things. It's quite something, there's no denying that for sure.

What are you future plans, and is there anything else we should be watching out for before the two of you are seen together in the not to farwaway future?

Well as you are all aware our next meeting has been quite publicly telegraphed and we're both quite eagerly waiting for that, considering this one is over already. Until then, I've got a few acts here and there, you know the usual, bright and light, all of that, some expected maybe a couple I'm going to be pulling out of my sleeve, you've got to keep the excitement going on in a relationship haha if you know what I mean you know, so yeah, expect interesting things in the future, though not extraordinarily so haha. Like I know people often anchor their expectations from fiction, so no it's not going to be something at the level of Space Odyssey and the following books, but it's going to be wild and interesting and be blowin' your minds either way.
