1. Watched Netflix. Like all of it. Everything on it from start to finish, possibly multiple times. Because why not? You've got the time, it's not like you're missing out on anything else.
2. Read all the books in your collection. As you promised, if there wasn't all the expectation to socialize and commute and you had all the free time in the world, you'd read all the time it'd be so great. Well...this is it. Better get on it bub.
3. Cook and bake like it's nobody's business. See above. You promised, promised absolutely to everybody that you'd do that if only you had more time and free from other commitments, which sounds like where you're at right now. So why not just go for it. Good luck!
4. Cry until your tears dry out because it's so sad and lonely, nothing's happening over the weekends or even the holidays and you can't go home to your parents...unless you want to kill them...or see friends or even go out on dates, such a sucky sucky life, and you have nothing good to show for all of this either.
5. Apply to all the grad schools. When there's enough time and I can take a breather from these things, you said, I'll apply to grad schools, so much happening and I don't have the motivation to take the GRE's either. Well they've waived the GRE's lately and not much else is happening, this is actually the very perfect hundred percent truest greatest time to be going to grad schools get on it, nothing bad can come off it.
6. Explored the crap out of your neighborhood. So much free time, so little physical workout, such limited social interactions, why not use this as an opportunity to get to know your neighbors and neighborhood, figure out what kind of people live around and make the house you've been living in your actual home?
7. Take like seven different online courses. Go for it, why not, just work until you go blunt, work work work, learn new things take new lessons, that cool class about medieval history or data analysis you always wanted to take, this is the perfect time to upskill!
8. Learn coding. You told your manager you'd learn to code when things were a little less crazy and sure the world's pretty crazy right now, the immediate threat of total destruction and doom has passed so now it's a great time to learn to code and become amazing at your job, get a promotion or two too while you're at it because why not, yeah?
9. Dance. Offline dance classes are out but they said, and you believe those people, they said with a good online instructor or even an automated program with AI you can pretty much get upto 80% there and the rest you can get caught up when things are more normal. It's so much cheaper to, so why not just go for it guys, this is such a wonderful opportunity.
10. Practice for a marathon. You said you'd do it. In the beginning of the pandemic you told your friends you're thinking of practicing for the pandemic because that's what would take you to motivate. You haven't made much progress,but maybe it's time to get back to practicing then huh?
11. Get a pet. You don't have too many friends to hang out with. No family either. And nobody you could call a partner exactly. It feels lonely no, with nobody you can be out and about and date with. So why not get a pet to try to fill that person-sized hole?
12. Drive out and about. You don't need to be in contact with other people to travel. Do roadside pickup, for food as well as groceries, camp in the wilderness, spend you time in the car, listen to music, explore the world, a human being connected to the nature and the rest of the world, as you claimed, this would be the perfect time for doing that.
13. Winter hiking. Maintain distance, but this is one of the few things you can still do safely in public. Climb that mount washington in the middle of the washington, start at 5 in the morning. Become a mountain climber. Get other people in your bubble, or create a bubble just for mountain climbing, become the person you imagine yourself as!
14. Boozed out. All the time in the world, none of the responsibilities and commitment. You know what to do wink wink wink.
15. Smoked out. The devil's lettuce, the green goblin, the scooby snacks, you know where it's at and you know you want it. Do it, and don't forget to support your local pot dealer!
