I'm sorry my kefir babies!

I am sorry my kefir babies,
I thought you had gone bad
for not just one or two,
but for three batches
you produced kefir that was plain
undrinkable,
yucky and bitter,
and then I suspected something was up
and checked the gallon of milk,
That's when I discovered
the drink had gone sour
and all these days
for a week in entirety,
I was feeding you sour milk,
milk not good to drink anymore,
you were working on bad food,
and being blamed for pathetic output,
I feel bad, you guys are hard and industrious,
and have got your setup
right to the dot,
it was wrong of me
to have maid assumptions
Wild and crazy, to frame you
for something you hadn't done,
but now you are in the clear,
kefir babies, I love you,
and trust you,
you are right, and
you will get fresh new milk
right away!
