In suburban virginia, it's been gloomy for the last two days, been raining nonstop today. How I yearn to see the sun, frolic out and about in the fields, go on 'hikes' etcetera! Alas.
I mean, not like I was doing those when I could, but having had the option would have been nice, you know.
If it's about the loss of vitality, it's coming back. Something seems to be filling up inside me, maybe it's food, could be my bank account -- I've started investing seriously in the stock market for the first time ever --, could be any number of other things.
They're saying it might snow tomorrow, but it might not. It's all bs, to tell you the truth, why won't you tell me what's real and what's not, maaan.
Walks are good, strange as it may sound, I'm starting to miss my walks out and about in Medford/Somerville.
weather, right. Small talk small talk small talk.
I like rain though, it's chill, as long as there's heat and humidity outside and the rain brings reprieve. Hot and rainy is cool, cold gloomy and rainy, not as much.
I don't see as many earthworms here, when it rains, they used to come out in the streets to die all the time in Nepal. I heard somewhere that earthworms are an invasive species here, and they're actually not great for the ecosystem. The great forests of middle america were turned into grasslands thanks to them, goes a theory. Dunno how much I buy that.
But really, this is the worst time for the rain to show up.
literally everyone i know, from cavemen 10k years ago, to the most 'out-there' person today, likes the pitter-patter of the rain hitting the leaves and grass and branches and roofs on cold dark nights as they sleep cosily in their rooms, free of the vagaries of nature, even if temporarily.
so i would like to meet one, just ONE person who goes, actually I hate listening to the sounds of the rain fall at nights, it really annoys and stresses me out, I can't just sleep so I have to put on some other music to cover the noise, really it's so bad.
I'm glad I have this, I can get all my bad ideas and topics of conversation out here without hurting anybody.
