Had yogurt, with salsa, cheese and hashbrown and eggs for lunch. I wanted to finish all the groceries we had in N's fridge because he wouldn't be eating most of them.
Cleaned up, did laundry and packed during the day. Didn't pack my traditional style the advanced way because we were running out of time. Quit job and left the building at 4.15. The taxi services took a really long time to come, and we were only 12 minutes from departure time when we got on one. We were really afraid we'd miss our train, but we got there quite safely ahead of time, thanks to the great driving of our lyft driver. We then got into the wrong train, but it was accela and N wanted to stay in, I jumped into our actual train, he followed suit.
Train ride was extremely bumping and jumpy, most certainly the worst train ride I've gotten on in this country, possible my entire life anywhere. It was comically bad, you couldn't put a laptop in front of you and time since the machine would be jumping about all the time. I got two posts written in the train itself, they would be my final two posts for a period of almost two weeks. Little did I know.
After getting off at the Union Station, N wanted to get momos at one of his favourite places in Arlington. We took taxi to there, a Nepali restaurant. He got chicken momo and sekuwa, I got chicken C momo. So goddamn spicy yikes, my face went numb. The weather was perfect, chilly but not cold, warm not oppressively so. Really the most amazing time to be eating outside at a restaurant, felt really good about everything. Talked to my dad right before we got on the cab to PN's place.
Arrived at PN's place at 9, caught up on everything. Had vanilla and chocolate ice-creams, I oversalted mine.
Watched tv, and some of the chooclate I'd brought, N and I, which really really zoinked my brains out, it's quite shocking how long these things last in my bloodstream for. We slept at about two, possibly later.
