Allow me to complain about the weather

And we thought we got off easy weatherwise this season.

December ended warm, January was quite tolerable almost pleasant dare I say. Ohh we'll get a storm or two in February we thought but it's gonna be alright yeah the global warming thing is going to be the end of us our grandchildren will live in a much worse world than we did but at least boston winters are going to be tolerable this year.

Alas even that the Universe didn't give us.

The past two weeks have been awful we've got snowstorms several time, quite thick and the temperatures have been dipping zero Celsius on a regular basis now. They've gone 20 below once or twice but seven or eight or ten below is not uncommon. We'll be in this situation for the next two or three weeks minimum.

The roommates and I were talking about it and we fear a cold March and possibly a chilly April as well.

The cold means the sidewalks are far too slippery to walk on, the roads too slushy and slippery to go into, the cars a little more out of control the drivers more maniacal than ever. Everybody's got the winterbug nobody wants to be out people just want this to be over and everybody's been asking dear gods dear dear gods have we not had enough yet why art thou punishing us please end this end this now and give us some weeks of warm warm sun or cloudy warm weather just be done with it people!

The weather's disrupted my walks. The cold's made enjoying the outdoors miserable. It's stopped folks from outdoor eating, from hiking or camping or what not. It's brought misery upon the already miserable lives we've had here in the Northeast.

At least the Sun's been out, sometimes. Unfortunately it's not without its flaws as the lack of clouds means all the heat we get from the winter Sun escapes immediately and Sunny days and sunny nights are much colder compared to cloudy ones. That one's a devil's bargain, a difficult one.

Hoping to escape to warmer climates, all across the country, just to skip this for the next few weeks and months. More on this incoming.
